CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2023 NATHAN LAUTERMILCH SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

The HVSA Nathan Lautermilch Scholarship recognizes graduating seniors who best represent the qualities developed through participation in the HVSA program, along with a strong interest in STEM related fields. The scholarships may be used to pursue a post-secondary education at a four-year college/university, community college, or vocational school.

This year's recipients are Thomas Hooks (University of Virginia) and Katie Yancey (George Washington University). Both were awarded $1000 scholarships by HVSA for their superior soccer experiences, community service, academic performance, and interest in STEM. HVSA awards these scholarships in honor of Nathan Lautermilch, esteemed former HVSA Board member who had a passion for youth soccer and STEM careers. Kate Edwards, Nathan’s wife and pictured with Tom, presented the scholarship awards. HVSA would like to thank Katherine Lautermilch, Nathan’s mother, for her generous support of the scholarship. Congratulations to Tom and Katie!!
